摘要:浮充是手机和笔记本电脑等便携式电子产品中锂离子电池常用的充电方法。然而,锂离子电池在高温环境下浮充常常导致容量下降和产气鼓胀,引起消费者对产品安全的担忧。为了明晰高温浮充老化对电池安全性能的影响,选择了同一电芯制造商生产的五款商用软包锂离子电池开展对比研究。对鼓胀电池进行加热测试、外短路测试和挤压实验,分析了产生气体的组分,发现高温浮充老化加速了锂离子电池的容量衰减和气体产生。产气导致电池膨胀,增加了破裂、漏液的风险,产生的混合气体虽然可燃,但由于气体量不多,对风险影响不大。虽然老化膨胀后锂离子电池的电化学性能下降,但在常规电子产品使用条件下,鼓胀电池的安全性能保持良好,热失控的风险较低。
Float charging is a widely employed method for charging lithium ion batteries(LIBs)in portable electronic devices such as smartphones and laptops.However,in high-temperature environments,float-charging often precipitates a decline in capacity and battery swell,raising consumer concerns regarding product safety.To elucidate the ramifications of high-temperature float aging on battery safety,this study selected five commercially available pouch LIBs from the same manufacturer for aging experiments.The swollen batteries underwent heating tests,external short-circuit tests,and extrusion tests,with an analysis of gas composition.High-temperature float-charge aging conditions for LIBs expedite gas production and capacity degradation.Gas production causes battery swelling,increasing rupture and leakage risk.The small amount of flammable gas produced has minimal impact on risk.A comparative analysis revealed that although the electrochemical performance of swollen batteries decreased,their safety remained robust in typical electronic product usage environments,with a low risk of thermal runaway.
