摘要：本文旨在以散见于劳伦斯文论中的救世说和血性意思说以及他康沃尔创作期的那段背景来分析其短篇小说《马贩子的女儿》的主题和创作手法,以揭示劳氏笔下梅布尔与乡村医生之间突如其来的、情节上看似异常简单甚至是荒诞的爱情故事的真正用意。
This essay is aimed at analyzing the subject matter and techniques of D. H. Laurence＇s short story The Horse Dealer＇ s Daughter by means of the references to his philosophy concerning emancipation of human being and blood consciousness. Lawrence＇s experiences, his sufferings during the period between 1915-1917 have been reckoned with in the essay. All these combined are to reveal Lawrence＇ s real purpose in constructing the seemingly simple and absurd love story which occurred all of a sudden between the country doctor and Mable.
