摘要:Powder discharge from silos' outlets generates significant dust, resulting in material waste, environmental pollution, reduced utilization efficiency, and health risks for operators. This paper uses high-speed camera technology and image analysis methods to examine the spatial and concentration distribution of dust produced by fine powders under various discharge conditions. Firstly, the dust dispersion width and angle for different discharge methods are analyzed. By examining continuous and grayscale images, the spatial dust distribution during discharge is characterized, and its formation mechanisms are clarified. Secondly, the concentration distribution across different spatial zones is quantified through image contour tracing and grayscale measurement. Additionally, a predictive model for dust generation is developed by correlating the spatial and concentration distributions of dust during the discharge process. The model demonstrates accurate predictions, with errors mostly below 10%. This study provides a method for measuring the spatial and concentration distribution of dust during powder discharge. It offers a practical approach for predicting the amount of dust generated during the discharge of fine powders.
