摘要：　介绍统计学习理论与支持向量机的主要内容与研究现状,将支持向量机与过程控制中广泛应用的前馈神经网络进行比较,指出其适用于过程控制的一些特性。着重提出统计学习理论与支持向量机在过程控制中的一些应用途径和策略,并对未来的研究作了展望。
The main contents of statistical learning theory(SLT) and support vector machines(SVMs) and current researches are introduced.The merits of SVMs for application in process control are pointed out after comparing it with feedforward neural networks which are used widely.The techniques and methods of using SVMs in process control and future research areas are suggested.
