摘要：NOVELTY - Pyrimidine thiourea compounds i.e. ((1-(6-(3-ethylthioureido)pyrimidin-4-yl)-1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)(prop-2-ynyl)amide (I) are new. USE - (I) are useful for inhibiting metal-inducing or metal ion-induced free radical-generating activity; metal ion (copper ions) chelating agent; and for treating Alzheimer's disease (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - (I) have: low cytotoxicity, excellent brain penetration, simple preparation method, and low cost. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Pyrimidine thiourea compounds i.e. ((1-(6-(3-ethylthioureido)pyrimidin-4-yl)-1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)(prop-2-ynyl)amide of formula (I) or their salts are new. R = H, 1-4C hydrocarbyl (optionally substituted with cyano or phenyl) or 2-4C acyl; and n = 1-3.
