摘要:Obesity seriously affects human health recently, prompting a growing interest in honey as a sugar substitute. However, the persistently high sugar content in honey remains a significant concern, especially for obese individuals. LH-a first-grade honey, was explored as a low GI food. The recommended dosage of LH by the WHO can significantly improve obesity. The nine PC were identified by metabolomics and proven to have anti-obesity activity, which may play a key role in the effects of LH. The anti-obesity effects of LH were more pronounced as compared to the equivalent amount of glucose and fructose, and this effect was further facilitated by addition of the PC. LH and HP (LH with the addition of PC) attenuate obesity by modulating gut-microbiota, promoting SCFAs, activating AMPK/PI3K/AKT pathways. Study revealed that LH has the potential to be a healthy and safe sugar substitutes due to its positive effects on the obesity. ? 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
