摘要:A stable iridium(III) meso-protonated α-octabutoxy phthalocyanine, denoted as [IrPcH(OBu)8Cl2] has been successfully synthesized. The primary absorption peak was observed at ~ 819 nm, accompanied by two shoulder peaks around 755 and 708 nm in THF solution, while no shoulder peak was detected in DMF solution. Due to the strong the NIR absorption property of a meso-protonated metal phthalocyanine and the heavy atom effect of an iridium(III), [IrPcH(OBu)8Cl2] exhibits the enhanced generation of singlet oxygen and the photothemal property with the photothermal conversion efficiency of ~25% driven by near-infrared (808 nm) laser irradiation. This performance opens avenues for the potential application of [IrPcH(OBu)8Cl2] in photodynamic/photothermal synergic therapy, particularly in conjunction with 808 nm laser irradiation. ? 2024, The Authors.
