摘要：《外国语》（1998．No．3）登载了许德金同志的文章“也谈Zengma的语法范畴与修辞范畴──与邵志洪同志商榷”。邵文（《外国语》）1997．No．1）认为Zeugma有语法范畴和修辞范畴之分，两者是不相容的；而许文则认为Zeugma就是Zeugma，根本不存在什么语法和修辞范畴。其实，许文通篇所谈的Zeugma都是修辞范畴的，在将修辞范畴的Zeugma误认为就是全部Zeugma的前提下去看邵文，自然会产生矛盾与疑问，本文旨在答疑，正本清源。
This paper presents our answer to 'A refutation of zeugma:grammatical category vs. rhetorical category'by Xu Dejin. We hold that zeugma in grammar differs from zeugma in rhetoric and cases of zeugma in rhetoric are usually considered stricturally unacceptable in grammar. While Xu argues that 'zeugma is zeugma, there is only one zeugma in both grammar and rhetoric.' Unfortunately, ignorand of the existence of zeugma in grammar, Xu takes zeugma in rhetoric for zeugma of two categories, thus betrayed into great confusion.
