摘要：天台宗在初盛唐时期与法相、华严、禅宗相比显得有些冷落,经过荆溪湛然大师的不懈努力中唐以后方得以中兴。尤其值得一提的是由于湛然的潜心研究和大力弘扬,使天台义理得到很大的创新。
In the early Tang Dynasty,Tiantai sect looks a little more deserted than Fa Xiang,Hua Yan and Chan sect.Through the tireless efforts of Master Jingxi Zhanran,it has been able to revive since the middle Tang Dynasty.It is particular that because of Zhanran＇s concentrated study and dissemination,the theory of Tiantai sect can be greatly innovated.
