摘要：Purpose The perception of professional values is integral to the formation of professional identity. This study developed and validated a scale assessing professional values perception among Chinese social workers. Method Using a nationally representative sample (N = 6,499), confirmatory factor analysis and correlation tests against turnover intention and public service motivation scales were conducted. Results The scale showed strong internal consistency (alpha = 0.91) and a two-factor structure (four items for social empowerment and three items for well-being development). Significant correlations with lower turnover intention (r = -0.116, p < .001) and higher public service motivation (r = .480, p < .001) supported its validity. Discussion Results highlight a dual focus on systemic change and individualized care in Chinese social work. Future longitudinal research should examine how these values evolve with policy changes, especially in non-Western contexts where state priorities intersect with professional ethics.
