摘要：NOVELTY - A dimethyl ether is prepared by dehydrating methanol in the presence of catalyst containing (wt.%) alumina (75-99.9, preferably 90-95) and niobium oxide (Nb2O5) (0.1-25, preferably 5-10) at 220-270 degrees C under 0.1 MPa with flow speed at 0.1-0.4 ml/minute and mass space velocity 1-4/hour. USE - Method of preparing dimethyl ether (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method reduces temperature of catalyst, increases temperature range, and improved selectivity of reaction; thus eliminating carbon deposition of catalyst.
