摘要:Porphyrins are a class of heterocyclic macrocycles, containing four pyrrolic subunits interconnected at the α-positions with four methine groups. In the early time, the lack of modern techniques required precise synthesis to avoid potential scrambling during the synthesis of porphyrins. Two typical pathways are nowadays used for constructing porphyrins and porphyrinoids, i.e., acid-catalyzed intermolecular [m+n] condensation of linear oligopyrroles and intramolecular cyclization of oligopyrroles. In addition to the intermolecular condensation reactions for synthesizing porphyrinoids, Xie and coworkers investigated intramolecularly oxidative cyclization reactions for synthesizing porphyrinoids, which enriches the structural diversities of porphyrinoids. Recently, molecular topology of porphyrin arrays or oligomers has attracted considerable attention because of their unique aromaticity and related promising applications in materials science. In this respect, Song and coworkers constructed porphyrins arrays by using bromo- and borylporphyrins as the building blocks.
