摘要:In this paper, the basic properties for several graphite materials, made of different ingredients such as a needle coke, a composite of a needle coke and a petroleum coke, a fine petroleum coke and a high-purity petroleum coke with different processing method were tested. And then they were employed as anodes for magnesium electrolyzers and electrolysis experiments were conducted to examine their corrosion-resistances during electrowinning of magnesium from MgCl2-KCl-NaCl melts at high temperature. After electrolysis, SEM was used to observe the morphology of anode and analyze its corrosion-resistance. Results showed that the corrosion-resistance of graphite anode were related to the components, bulk density, apparent porosity, compressive strength and processing method. The graphite anode consisting of a needle coke showed a good corrosion-resistance in chloride melts at 720-730 degrees C for 6h.
