摘要:NOVELTY - This invention relates to diatomic alcohol displayed as formula (1) preparation method. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The procedures are that materials are ethylene (propylene) oxide and carbon dioxide, then they react to make ethylene carbonate (carbonic allyl ester) with condition of catalyst. Ethylene (propylene) glycol and carbon dioxide are generated by carbonate (carbonic allyl ester) and water under condition of pressuring and no catalyst, the carbon dioxide is recovered and back to the reactor for cycling using, 99.5 percent purity ethylene (propylene) glycol is got after hydrolysate is decompressed and rectified,its recovery can be more than 95 percent. The biggest advantage is that there is no catalyst in the hydrolysis of ethylene (propylene) oxide, so the problem of hydrolysis catalyst recovery and consumption in existing technique is avoided; ethylene (propylene) glycol preparation cost is reduced.
