摘要：Extraction of chi-carragheen mainly includes a lixiviation process using 0.6-1.0 wt% aqueous sodium chloride solution as the lixiviating agent. The process is performed at pH 7-8, 75-80 deg.C, 0.2-0.7 hour heat-holding time and a viscosity of 35-45 centipoise. The separation process uses 3.5-4.5 wt% potassium chloride as the separating salt and the process is performed at 0-40 deg.C. Purification uses a solution of alcohols as the water-squeezing agent. The filtered wet cake of carrageenan is passed through desiccation and crushing to form the product which has gel strength up to 800-1100 g/cm.
