摘要：NOVELTY - Preparing 9-(4-sulfophenyl)stearic acid or 10-(4-sulfophenyl)stearic acid, comprises dissolving 9-phenylstearic acid or 10-phenylstearic acid in an organic solvent to obtain organic solvent solution, introducing sulfur trioxide gas into the organic solvent solution and reacting to obtain reaction product, extracting the reaction product with mixed solvent, and then removing the mixed solvent to obtain final product. USE - The method is useful for preparing 9-(4-sulfophenyl)stearic acid or 10-(4-sulfophenyl)stearic acid (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method has less side reactions and high product content.
