摘要:To establish a temperature control standard for 7-m coke ovens, a 3D transient coupled model of the combustion, carbonization and regenerative chamber model are developed. The temperature variations of the heating systems during the coking process are calculated by computational fluid dynamics. Microstructural analysis of unused and used clay checker bricks from a coking company, observed by scanning electron microscopy. The results showed periodic temperature fluctuations in the saddle bricks of the combustion chamber and the gas-solid phases in the regenerative chamber. Used bricks exhibited increased porosity and reduced corrosion resistance. Overheating flue gas in the combustion chamber can melt checker bricks in the regeneration chamber, with saddle brick temperature serving as an early warning. Simulations suggest keeping saddle brick temperatures below a critical threshold to prevent damage.
