摘要:NOVELTY - Burning and removing chlorine containing volatile organic compound using a catalyst, is claimed, where: the catalyst comprises ruthenium oxide and transition metal oxide-cerium oxide composite oxide carrier; the transition metal oxide comprises cobalt oxide, iron oxide, copper oxide, nickel oxide and titanium oxide; the content of transition metal oxide is 1-15 (preferably 4-12 wt.%), and the content of ruthenium oxide is 0.1-3 (preferably 1-1.5 wt.%). USE - The method is useful for burning and removing chlorine containing volatile organic compound in industrial exhaust gas emission using a catalyst. ADVANTAGE - The method is capable of simply burning and removing the chlorine containing volatile organic compound at low temperature in a convenient manner. The catalyst has high catalytic activity and long service life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing a catalyst comprising forming transition metal oxide-cerium oxide composite oxide by simple co-precipitation method, where the precursor of the: cobalt oxide is nitrate, oxalate, acetate and carbonate; titanium oxide is titanium alkoxide and titanium tetrachloride; and cerium oxide is nitrate and ammonium nitrate salt.
