摘要：NOVELTY - Preparation of silicon carbide block involves mixing epoxyethane, ethyl orthosilicate and nitric acid, obtaining mixed solution, placing the solution in a mold, molding, obtaining silicon oxide block, performing hydrothermal treatment, washing, drying, obtaining silicon oxide template, processing the template using toluene solution of polycarbosilane, heating, obtaining polycarbosilane and silicon oxide composite block, performing thermal treatment of the obtained block under protection of inert gas, processing the resultant composite block using hydrofluoric acid, washing and drying. USE - Preparation of silicon carbide block (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently provides silicon carbide block having excellent diffusion resistance, pore connectivity and resistance to blockage of pores, by a simple process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of silicon carbide block involves mixing epoxyethane, ethyl orthosilicate and nitric acid in molar ratio of 0.45-0.55:1:0.25, obtaining mixed solution, placing the obtained solution in a mold, sealing, maintaining, molding, obtaining silicon oxide block, discharging, performing hydrothermal treatment of the obtained block using ammonium hydroxide, washing, drying, obtaining silicon oxide template, processing the obtained template using toluene solution of polycarbosilane, heating to completely volatilize toluene, obtaining polycarbosilane and silicon oxide composite block, performing thermal treatment of the obtained composite block under protection of inert gas, processing the resultant composite block using hydrofluoric acid, washing and drying.
