摘要:Erythromycin A (Er-A),produced by Saccharopolyspora erythraea,is one of important antibiotics with broad spectrum active against pathogenic Gram-positive bacteria.Its importance in infectious disease therapy is further highlighted by the fact that several Er-A based semi-synthetic derivatives known as the second and third generation products are commercially successful and widely used in the clinic.
