摘要:NOVELTY - High melting strength polyester is prepared using aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its derivative, dihydric alcohol and chain extender with multiple functional groups as raw materials, and directly processing esterifying melt polycondensation reaction in existence of catalyst. USE - Method of preparation of high melting strength polyester used for carbon dioxide (CO2) foaming for preparing engineering foaming materials, food packaging, building materials, wire insulation, microwave containers, refrigerator inner plates, sports equipment, automotive materials or aerospace industrial materials (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The polyester has excellent foaming material with properties of light weight, large specific strength, large rigidity, good electric insulativity and good heat and sound insulation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a preparation of the high melting strength polyester comprising reacting aromatic dicarboxylic acid or its derivative, dihydric alcohol, chain extender with multiple functional groups and catalyst for esterification in inert atmosphere nitrogen at 200-250 degrees C under 0-0.5 MPa, discharging water, continuously prepolycondensating and processing long-chain branching reaction at 210-260 degrees C under 3-4 Pa, reacting for 1-3 hours, processing final polycondensation at 270-300 degrees C under 50-100 Pa, for 1-3 hours, and obtaining high melting strength polyester for CO2 foaming.
