Applicabilities of vanadyl phthalocyanine(VOPc)as an optical recording medium in laser optical disc system of JPD-1 were studied under He-Ne laser whose laser output wavelength is632. 8nm. With a writing power higher than 10. 5nw,the carerior to noise ratio(CNR)of thedisc can reach 44dB. This result is good for the purpose of application of VOPc to optical recordingmedium in laser optical disc.
