摘要:Although it is a common way to obtain liquid-liquid equilibrium properties by solving activity coefficient models such as the NRTL model and the UNIQUAC model, these methods have disadvantages near the critical point due to the defect of their mean-field-like characters. In this work, by making use of the Landau-Ginzburg theory for a fluctuating order parameter and the isomorphism between the lattice gas and the binary alloy, we extend White's renormalization group theory for one-component vapor-liquid equilibria to binary liquid-liquid equilibria. The liquid-liquid equilibria curves obtained from the renormalization group theory are in good agreement with experimental data. In addition, the calculated critical exponents are consistent with the three-dimensional Ising universality class.
