摘要:NOVELTY - Phenol and acetic anhydride are reacted in absence of catalyst at 80-200 degrees C under pressure of 0.08-0.8 MPa for 10-300 minutes. The resultant product is purified, and excess acetic anhydride is removed, to obtain phenol acetate. The molar ratio of acetic anhydride and phenol is 1:0.8-10. USE - Manufacture of phenol acetate. ADVANTAGE - The method efficiently and economically provides phenol acetate with yield of 99% or more.
