摘要:NOVELTY - A foamy carbon is prepared by putting high-softening point asphalt into container, adding foaming agent, heating to critical temperature of foaming agent (Tc) to Tc + 100 degrees C, keeping temperature constant for 0.5-4 hour, and relieving pressure to atmospheric pressure to prepare foamed asphalt; putting foamed asphalt into oxidation furnace, heating to 150-300 degrees C at 0.02-5 degrees C/minute for 0.5-3 hours, and performing oxidation stabilizing process; and putting oxidized foam into carbonizing furnace, heating under inert gas, and performing carbonizing process to prepare desired foamy carbon. USE - Method for preparing foamy carbon (claimed) for use as heat conducting, heat isolating, electromagnetic shielding and electrode materials. The foamy carbon can also be used in biological sewage treatment, catalysis and energy-saving buildings. ADVANTAGE - The method reduces aperture of prepared foamy carbon to 10-200 mu m and is narrowly distributed. The prepared foamy carbon has smooth pore wall and has less microcrack. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The foamy carbon is prepared by: (A) putting high-softening point asphalt with grain diameter of 5-1000 mu m into high-pressure volume fixing container, adding foaming agent with volume ratio of asphalt grains to foaming agent of 1:5-1:200, heating to critical temperature of foaming agent (Tc) to Tc + 100 degrees C at 1-20 degrees C/minute, keeping temperature constant for 0.5-4 hour, and fast relieving pressure to atmospheric pressure at 5-100 MPa/second to prepare foamed asphalt; (B) putting foamed asphalt into oxidation furnace having oxygen concentration of 5-30 vol.%, heating to 150-300 degrees C at 0.02-5 degrees C/minute for 0.5-3 hours, and performing oxidation stabilizing process; and (C) putting oxidized foam into carbonizing furnace, heating to 500-1200 degrees C at 0.2-20 degrees C/minute under inert gas, and performing carbonizing process to prepare desired foamy carbon, where high-softening point asphalt is coal-series high-softening point asphalt, petroleum based high-softening point asphalt or coal-series, or petroleum based or mesophase asphalts; and foaming agents are organic solvents with Tc of 200-350 degrees C.
