摘要:NOVELTY - Removing organic phenol pollutant from wastewater comprises: (a) synthesizing a ligand containing nitrogen and oxygen atoms by 2-chloromethyl pyridine and beta -alanine; (b) reacting the ligand containing nitrogen and oxygen atoms with manganese perchlorate in a polar solvent to obtain a manganese metal complex; (c) adding an acetonitrile solution of manganese metal complex and an oxidant to wastewater; (d) agitating the reaction solution to convert phenol to polymerized phenol compound; and (e) filtering to remove decomposed or polymerized phenol compound to obtain purified reaction solution. USE - The method is useful for extracting organic phenol pollutant from wastewater. ADVANTAGE - The method: has a short reaction time and high removing efficiency of phenol compound; and utilizes a catalyst having wide applications. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Removing organic phenol pollutant from wastewater comprises: (a) synthesizing a ligand containing nitrogen and oxygen atoms by using 2-chloromethyl pyridine and beta -alanine; (b) reacting the ligand containing nitrogen and oxygen atoms with manganese perchlorate in a polar solvent to synthesize a manganese metal complex; (c) adding an aqueous acetonitrile solution of the manganese metal complex and an oxidant according to the content of phenol compound in wastewater, controlling the molar ratio of manganese metal complex to phenol in the wastewater at 1:10-1:60 and mixing sufficiently to carry out a chemical reaction; (d) agitating the reaction solution at room temperature to convert phenol to polymerized phenol compound; and (e) filtering the reaction solution to remove the decomposed or polymerized phenol compound to obtain a purified reaction solution.
