摘要：随着制造成本不断上升,中国制造的成本优势正在逐渐减弱,出口面临越来越严峻的挑战。在这种背景下,如何推动出口实现可持续增长是一个具有重要理论和现实意义的问题。本文基于市场分割这一新的视角对出口的影响因素进行深入探讨,试图寻找推动出口增长的新动力。基于理论模型和中国省际面板数据的实证分析发现,市场分割越严重的地区,企业经营效率越差,越缺乏出口竞争力,地区出口规模越小,说明市场分割的确是出口增长的重要障碍之一。本文还发现平均工资对地区出口规模有正向影响,说明工资的提高有助于吸引高生产率的员工,产生的收益大于相应的成本。本文的政策含义是市场整合的持续推进能改善企业的经营环境,提高中国企业的经营效率和国际竞争力,对于出口持续增长有重要推动作用。
The manufacturing costs increase quickly during these years, making the cost advantage of Chinese products decrease sharply. Thus, China faces greater challenge in the export market. It＇s a theoretical and practical important question that how to make China＇s export grow continually. Based on the perspective of market segmentation, this article explains the phenomenon of China＇s persistent export expansion and tries to find new engines of export growth. This article, based on the theoretical and empirical evidences, finds that the more serious of the degree of market segmentation, the less efficient of the local companies and the more lack of competitive advantage in the export market. Thus, market segmentation negatively influences the scale of regional export, indicating that market segmentation is a critical obstruction of export growth. Furthermore, this article finds that average wage has positive effect on export, suggesting that higher wage will help firms to attract more productive employees and the benefits associated with higher wage will greater than the costs. We propose that the continuous promotion of market integration will help improve the companies＇ operating environment, enhance Chinese companies＇ operational efficiency and international competitive advantage, and play a critical role in sustaining export growth.
