摘要:In the spring of 2022, I started an online book club for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners in a university in Shanghai. Over the research period of four months, eight participants who joined this book club and stuck around until the last book talk meeting were interviewed. They met every 2 weeks online to talk about the stories. The findings show that a group of Chinese EFL college students' expectations for this L2 (a second language) book club, such as improving English, enjoying reading, and relaxing, have been met. It concludes that book clubs could be a possible approach to bibliotherapy.
