Some technological factors in the sol-gel process to prepare low refletive SiO_2 coatings,such as the preparation of solutions,dip-coating ,heat treatment and acid treatment,have been studied in this paper,It was found that the solutions with a concentration of 11~17% SiO_2,low water content(R_w=H_2O/Si(OC_2H_5)_4=2~3)and pH =4~5 are suitable to prepare the films. As the heating temperature is increase and time is prolonged the chemical durability and mechanical property of the coatings are improved.Treatment of SiO_2 films in the 0.05~0.1% HF solutions is also benefoial to an increase of the transmittivity .Experiment results showed that antireflective films with their reflectivities below 3% on the broad regions can be obtained by this Frocess.The transmittivity of glasses is inereased to 97%。
