摘要:以过氧化苯甲酰为引发剂,采用溶液聚合的方法合成了N-苯基马来酰亚胺/苯乙烯/α-甲基苯乙烯/马来酸酐四元共聚物。保持马来酸酐单体质量分数为5%,N-苯基马来酰亚胺单体质量分数为30%,改变α-甲基苯乙烯和苯乙烯的投料比合成系列四元共聚物。采用红外光谱、核磁共振和凝胶渗透色谱对四元共聚物的化学结构和相对分子质量进行了表征,考察了四元共聚物对ABS树脂耐热性及力学性能的影响。结果表明,α-甲基苯乙烯和苯乙烯的投料比为1∶1,数均相对分子质量为2.50×10~4左右的四元共聚物的玻璃化转变温度(T_g)最高达到253.3℃,5%热分解温度可达到351℃。该共聚物可使ABS共混物T_g升高到124.7℃,且具有较好的力学性能。
A series of N-phenylmaleimide/styrene/alpha methyl styrene/maleic anhydride tetrapolymers were synthesized with benzoyl peroxide as initiator by solution polymerization keeping the content of maleic anhydride and N-phenylmaleimide monomer at mass fraction of 5% and 30% respectively,and the feed ratios of alpha methyl styrene and styrene were varied. The chemical structures and molecular weights of the tetrapolymers were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and GPC. The heat resistance and mechanical properties of ABS blends were investigated by DSC and TGA. The results show that the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the tetrapolymer of which the feed ratio of alpha methyl styrene and styrene is 1∶1 with the molecular weight(Mn)about 2.50×104 reaches 253.3 ℃, and the 5% thermal decomposition temperature reaches 351 ℃. This tetrapolymer increases the Tg of ABS blends to 124.7 ℃, and can remain better mechanical properties of ABS blends than others.
