摘要：The phenomenon of droplets captured by fibers is ubiquitous and plays an important role in natural and industrial applications. This study focused on the impact process during a droplet impact on a fiber and established a physical model to describe this process. The critical velocity of capture above which the droplet might not be captured after the impact was deduced according to this model and the influence factors were investigated. These findings will be helpful to elucidate the mechanism of the impact between droplets and fibers and optimize the design of coalescence applications. ?
