摘要：NOVELTY - A styryl-containing azobenzene compound (I) is new. USE - Styryl-containing azobenzene compound (I) is used for non-linear optical material, photoresponse and memory devices (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The azobenzene group is good photochromic group and styryl can freely polymerize to obtain high polymer. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A styryl-containing azobenzene compound of formula (I) is new. R1, R2 = -CnH2n+1 or -OCnH2n+1; and n = 1-12. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the compound (I).
