ADVANTAGE - The beta-galactosidase fluorescent probe has strong retention capability after activation in a cell, and the cell beta-galactosidase expression helps in long time (12 hours) imaging. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Beta-galactosidase fluorescent probe comprises beta-galactosidase derivative represented by formula (I). R1=1-4C is a hydrocarbon, sulfonic acid, or phenyl group; R2, R3 and R4=1-3C is a hydrogen, or hydrocarbon group or a combination; R4=H; and R5=cyano group of formula (II).
