摘要:Coal gasification is one of key technologies in clean utilization of coal. Recently, a new coal gasification technology, Opposed Multi-Burner (OMB) entrained-flow gasifier, has been developed successfully in China. In this paper, the study of the flow characteristics of the OMB gasifier was presented. The spatial distributions of velocity in the large-scale cold model of the OMB gasifier were measured by Dual Particle Dynamic Analyzer (PDA) and hot wire anemometer (HWA), and the influence of flux imbalancing was studied in detail. The results of CFD numerical simulation gave the full flow field characteristics of the OMB gasifier and agreed well with the experimental results. The residence time distributions of fluid in the OMB gasifier and other three commercial gasifiers were investigated. The results of this work indicates that the OMB gasifier can achieve higher efficient mixing and better performance, which has been proved by the excellent industrial operating results in two demonstration plants of the OMB gasifer.
