摘要:To construct a photo/chemical dual-stimuli-responsive molecule, a symmetrical butterfly-shaped tetra-arylethene has been synthesized by combining Schiff base with photochromic tetra-arylethene. Results show that it exhibits controllable aggregation-induced fluorescence enhancement (AIEE), reversible photochromism and switchable ion detection. Moreover, the tetra-arylethene further behaves all-visible-light triggered photochromism by being doped in PMMA film to limit the molecule conformation. Once complexed with Cu2+, the complex exhibits irreversible photocyclization. It reverts to reversible photochromism when adding EDTA. Consequently, a nonreversible photochromic system gated by Cu2+ has been developed, which has potential applications in constructing multi-stimuli responsive materials, logic gates and Cu2+ detection.
