摘要:NOVELTY - A copper-based catalyst comprises 3-20 wt.% copper chloride, 1-7 wt.% potassium chloride, 2-25 wt.% samarium(III) chloride, 0-15 wt.% lanthanum(III) chloride and 50-90 wt.% aluminum oxide. USE - Copper-based catalyst used for catalytic oxidation of hydrogen chloride to chlorine gas (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The catalyst has high activity and good stability. The method is simple and easy, and easy for industrial implementation. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for: (1) preparation of copper-based catalyst comprising dissolving raw materials except aluminum oxide in water, adding aluminum oxide carrier, standing at room temperature for 8-16 hours, drying at 100-120 degrees C for 8-16 hours, and baking under air atmosphere at 400-600 degrees C for 3-8 hours; and (2) catalytic oxidation of hydrogen chloride to chlorine gas comprising adding hydrogen chloride and copper-based catalyst to fixed bed reactor, and catalytically oxidizing by impregnating at 300-450 degrees C and 0.1-0.5 MPa at hydrogen chloride and oxygen mol ratio of 1:2-4:1 and air speed of 0.45-1.8 Nm3/(hour-kgCat).
