摘要:NOVELTY - A mixed solution of phenol and p-toluenesulfonic acid is heated, and dimethoxybenzene is added, and heated to obtain reaction liquid. An alkaline solution is added to the obtained reaction liquid, neutralized, depressurized, distilled and recrystallized to obtain 4,4'-(1,4-dimethylene phenyl)-diphenol. An organic solvent is added to another reactor, cooled, and mixed solution of 4,4'-(1,4-dimethylene phenyl)-diphenol compound is added to obtain crude product. The obtained crude product is recrystallized to obtain 4,4'-(1,4-dimethylene phenyl)-diphenyl cyanate. USE - Preparation of 4,4'-(1,4-dimethylene phenyl)-diphenyl cyanate. ADVANTAGE - The method provides 4,4'-(1,4-dimethylene phenyl)-diphenyl cyanate having excellent flame retardant property and thermal stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A mixed solution of phenol and p-toluenesulfonic acid is heated at 120-140 degrees C, and dimethoxybenzene is added, and heated at 130-150 degrees C for 2-4 hours to obtain reaction liquid. An alkaline solution is added to the obtained reaction liquid, neutralized, depressurized, distilled and recrystallized to obtain 4,4'-(1,4-dimethylene phenyl)-diphenol. An organic solvent is added to another reactor, cooled at -20 to 0 degrees C degrees, and mixed solution of 4,4'-(1,4-dimethylene phenyl)-diphenol compound is added, reacted at -20 to 0 degrees C for 2-6 hours, washed, separated, dried and distilled to obtain crude product. The obtained crude product is recrystallized using organic solvent to obtain 4,4'-(1,4-dimethylene phenyl)-diphenyl cyanate. The molar ratio of phenol, p-toluenesulfonic acid and dimethoxybenzene is 2-10:0.02-0.19:1.
