摘要:A series of 2-(2-pyridyl or quinolyl)-6-imino-pyridine ligands and their iron (II) complexes have been synthesized and applied to ethylene oligomerization. By tuning the steric properties of the ligands, 2-(2-pyridyl)-6-iminopyridyl iron complexes bearing two small ortho-substituents on the imino N-aryl groups exhibited high catalytic activity with a higher K value of 0.57 similar to 0.66 for the full range process of ethylene oligomerization upon activation with modified methylaluminoxane (MMAO-3A), and produced a very low waxy solid content (< 0.07 wt%); whereas 2-(2-pyridyl)-6-iminopyridyl iron complex bearing mono ortho-substituent on the imino N-aryl group and 2-(2-quinolyl)-6-iminopyridyl iron complexes produced C-4 as the major product as well as C-6 oligomers. The catalytic performance can be further optimized by changing the reaction conditions, for example, 2-(2-pyridyl)-6-[1-(2,6-dimethylphenylimino)ethyl]pyridine iron complex can reach a high activity of 4.01 & times; 10(7) g mol(-1)(Fe) h(-1), a higher K value of 0.57, 97% of alpha-olefin selectivity under certain conditions, while only produced about <0.05 wt% of low-molecular-weight waxy solids.
