摘要:Corrosion characteristics of AISI E52100 steel in 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([BMIM]BF4) ionic liquid at different conditions have been studied by using electrochemical tests, SEM-EDX and XRD analysis. The results showed that E52100 steel could be corroded in [BMIM]BF4 whether the air exists or not, and the presence of water would greatly accelerate the corrosion reaction. Moreover, the water have great influence on the shape and components of the corrosion products, that is, iron fluoride hydrate(Fe2F5 center dot 7H(2)O). in crystalline type with water and iron fluoride or oxide compounds in amorphous state without water.
