摘要：华东理工大学化学工程与工艺专业于2013年接受了美国工程与技术鉴定委员会(ABET)的认证,成为中国大陆高校中首个通过ABET认证的专业。在开展ABET认证的过程中,按照ABET认证的要求,本着以学生为本的理念对办学思想的定位、课程体系的构建、实验室的安全要求等方面进行了重新梳理与整改,从中累积了一些专业建设与改进的经验,并引发了一些对中国高等工程教育发展的启示与思考。
The program of Chemical Engineering at ECUST was accepted the ABET accreditation in 2013, which rendered ECUST to be the first university passed the accreditation from ABET in China. During the ABET accreditation, we reanalyzed the student-oriented education concept, the construction of course system and the requirements in laboratory safety according to the requirements of ABET accreditation. These experiences deduced some reflections for the development of Chinese Higher Education in Chemical Engineering, which hopefully could bring some benefits to our peers in the field of Higher Engineering Education.
