摘要:NOVELTY - Method for preparing bisphenol F, involves reacting phenol with formaldehyde in the presence of acid catalyst to obtain target compound, where the acid catalyst is a mixture of organic and inorganic acid and molar ratio of organic and inorganic acid is 10-2:1. The inorganic acid is oxyacid of phosphorus and organic acid is 1-4C linear or branched monobasic or dibasic acid. USE - The method is useful for preparing bisphenol F. ADVANTAGE - The method produces bisphenol F at high yield and with high content of ortho-isomer, preferably 2,4'-isomer, is cost-effective, and consumes less energy.
