摘要：Field studies were conducted to quantify the efficacy of traps baited with pheromone dispensers for the control of Spodoptera frugiperda infestation. Maize fields selected for the sex pheromone dispensers trapping experiments were in Yunnan and Anhui provinces, China. The number of adult males and larvae, the larvae decline rate and corrected control efficacy was investigated regularly at 3, 7, 14, 28, 42 and 56 days after application. Bacillus thuringiensis WP and water are treated as positive and negative control respectively. The results indicated that the average total number of male captures increased significantly as the sex pheromone dispenser increased. Sex pheromone trapping demonstrated significant field control effectiveness on S. frugiperda at 14 days post-application, with corrected control effects ranging from 75.13% to 80.27%, 76.71% to 83.83%, and 77.61% to 85.19% in the respective treatment groups. This method could constitute an integrated pest management technique to improve the control effect and effectively reduce the damage of S. frugiperda in the maize field by the sex pheromone. ? 2023, The Authors.
