摘要:A sulfolenocorrole (i.e., masked corrole-diene)-based "cycloaddition-metalation-oxidation" method has been developed, enabling the synthesis of aromatic ring-fused corroles with yields of up to 86%. Peripheral fusions not only enhance the long wavelength absorption but also modulate the electronic configurations of the ground states. Notably, aromatic ring-fused corroles with open-shell singlet ground states show SOMO(cor)-HOMO(cor) inversion.
