摘要:NOVELTY - Methanol homologation preparation of ethanol comprises reacting methanol and syngas in presence of rhodium-based catalyst system at 100-200 degrees C with a pressure of 2-6 MPa to obtain ethanol; where the rhodium-based catalyst system comprises a primary catalyst, a co-catalyst, an accelerator, a ligand, an alkali metal salt and acetic acid; the primary catalyst comprises elemental rhodium, rhodium halide, rhodium oxide, rhodium complex, rhodium carbonyl compound, oxygen-containing rhodium inorganic acid salt and/or rhodium organic acid salt; and accelerator is iodine-containing organic compound. USE - The method is useful for methanol homologation preparation of ethanol (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The ethanol selectivity can be increased to more than 90%. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Methanol homologation preparation of ethanol comprises reacting methanol and syngas in presence of rhodium-based catalyst system at 100-200 degrees C with a pressure of 2-6 MPa to obtain ethanol; where the rhodium-based catalyst system comprises a primary catalyst, a co-catalyst, an accelerator, a ligand, an alkali metal salt and acetic acid; the primary catalyst comprises elemental rhodium, rhodium halide, rhodium oxide, rhodium complex, rhodium carbonyl compound, oxygen-containing rhodium inorganic acid salt and/or rhodium organic acid salt; the co-catalyst comprises elemental ruthenium, ruthenium halide, ruthenium oxide, ruthenium complex, ruthenium carbonyl compound, oxygen-containing ruthenium inorganic acid salt and/or ruthenium organic acid salt; the accelerator is iodine-containing organic compound; the ligand comprises triphenylphosphine and/or (Ph)2PXP(Ph)2; and the alkali metal salt is halides or acetates of alkali metal. X = 1-3C divalent alkyl; and Ph = phenyl.
