摘要:In order to reduce the aerodynamic drag, the main influential factors influencing automotive aerodynamics must be found. This research investigates several factors that influence the flow field and the wake structure. The simplified models of a practical car with different rear shapes, front window slant and aerodynamic attachments are computed to show that many factors play important roles in determining the drag force and wake structure. The computational results agree well with experimental measurements. The computations show that modifying the rear shape and adding appropriate aerodynamic attachments can effectively control the wake structure and reduce the pressure drag.
