Synthesis of seven novel π arene metallic chromium carbonyl complexes with polymerization potential has been accomplished from aromatic hydrocarbons containing organic unsaturated functionality and triamino chromium tricarbonyl under mild conditions. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis as well as UV, IR and 1H NMR spectra.
