摘要：Older adults are a marginalized group in technology use. Existing research focuses on simplifying the software design or providing third-party assistance to promote smartphone use among older adults. However, these methods overlook older adults' needs, willingness, and ability to use smartphone applications independently, diminishing their technological self-esteem. This work aims to improve older adults' independent use of smartphones. First, we conduct qualitative research on active users of Pinduoduo and Douyin. Findings reveal that older adults overcome barriers through technical support from semi-acquaintance communities, innovative platform use, and voice interaction. Then, to further facilitate older adults to use smartphones independently, we propose a voice assistant, which leverages age-friendly design principles and large language model technology to enhance usability and operation. This work offers a unique perspective for inspiring inclusive technology design and optimization tailored to older adults. ? 2024 Owner/Author.
