摘要：从叙事学中叙事视角及叙事者、叙事结构两个角度出发,以主述位理论为基础,对《阿Q正传》两英译本的叙事翻译进行探究,发现两个译本的翻译都体现了中英文表达习惯的特点。杨译比莱译更忠实于原文,而莱译的结构句式更加多样;在叙事风格上,两个译本都保留了主要叙事者,但是原文的叙述视角及叙事者都有一定改变;在叙事结构上,原文中有相当部分的平行推进模式在译文中转换成了自由推进模式和其他三种推进模式,因此译文与原文差距较大。
Within the framework of Theme-Rheme theory, this thesis conducts a study of narrative style on The Real Story of Ah Q and its two English versions, from the perspective of narrator, narrative point of view and narrative structure. It can be concluded that two translators are restricted by the differences between Chinese and English. Yang’s translation is more faithful to the original text while Lyell’s translation is more flexible in sentence structures. As to narrative style, there is a minor change in narrative point of view and narrator and a big difference in the narrative structure due to the transference between Theme-Rheme patterns.
