摘要：普利策获奖小说《奥斯卡·沃短暂而奇妙的一生》从文本到主题都不失为后殖民小说的代表性作品。本文通过分析这部小说从多个层面所展现的杂糅性,论述后殖民文学文本的杂和特征是当今世界经济全球化和文化多元化语境下大多数人正在经历或将要经历的杂和人生的最佳表达式。小说强调不同种族、不同国籍,以及不同历史条件下人类的共性:危险的控制欲、反控制的抗争以及不懈的自我追求。
The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao,a Pulitzer winning novel,is representative of postcolonial novels in terms of both text and motif.This paper focuses on the hybridity displayed in this novel approached from different strata,maintaining that under the global and multi-cultural world situation today, hybridity in life of many people find the best expression in the texts of postcolonial novels,which,in this case,stress the similarities rather than differences regardless of race,nationality or history.
