摘要:The non-thermal microwave effect of coal desulfurization was explored using the non-isothermal kinetic analysis and the quantum chemical calculation. Results of the non-isothermal kinetic analysis showed that the activation energy of coal desulfurization decreased from 70.86 kJ/mol to 53.10 kJ/mol when the microwave power increased from 100 W to 400 W. For the theoretical calculation, it is found that the electron density distribution around organic sulfur atoms increased under the positive extra electric field. This suggested that the nucleophilic reaction activity of sulfur-containing groups could be improved due to the non-thermal microwave effect. During the oxidation of thioether and sulfoxide groups, it is found that the strength of C-S bands could be reduced under the extra electric fields. However, the reaction activation energy was reduced and reaction rate was increased under the same extra electric fields, which resulted in the formation of stable sulfone groups in coal. Therefore, there was a competitive relationship between sulfur-containing bonds fracture and groups oxidation under the action of microwave non-thermal effect, which provided a reference for coal desulfurization research. ? 2022, The Authors.
